Study in Europe 2020

Message from the European Union Ambassador to the Republic of Korea

Welcome to our 1st virtual edition of Study in Europe Fair in the Republic of Korea!

We are delighted to invite all of you to our annual Study in Europe Fair scheduled on 23rd-24th November 2020 in a digital format to accommodate the new environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are grateful to be able to organise the event and appreciate the tremendous interest from both Europe and Korea despite the challenges and limitations posed by the pandemic.

Europe and Korea share the firm belief that education is essential for shaping our future and connecting people. Erasmus+, the EU’s flagship education programme, was born out of a need for better education through mobility and connectivity. I believe this is even more apparent in the time of the pandemic. In this respect, Studying in Europe provides great potential to create new learning and career pathways.

We have more than 50 European universities and institutions from 18 countries participating in the virtual fair this year. It will present and offer unique opportunities, such as various scholarship and study programmes, to those who are interested or planning to study and research in Europe in the near future.

At the first digital edition of Study in Europe, participants will be able to interact with universities and institutions through live chats (partial interpretation available) and learn those opportunities through webinars conducted by the representatives of the participating European Institutions. There will be a total of 12 webinar sessions followed by live Q&A, covering a wide range of issues from the university application process, living conditions, job prospects to an overview of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programmes and much more.

I would like to encourage all of you to explore this virtual fair and visit each booth. Gaining international experience and multilateral cultural exposures will be of your unique value for your future endeavour. You could be the next one to benefit from excellent study and research opportunities in Europe and beyond!
